HIGH-TECH MAINTENANCE TECHNOLOGIES AND STATE-OF-THE-ART AERO ENGINE REPAIRS

The company takes great pride in its repair capabilities, many of which are unique in the marketplace. True to its motto "Repair Beats Replacement," the MTU Maintenance group offers high-quality and cost-conscious solutions.

Each MTU Maintenance location is a centre of excellence with its own strengths and individual services, employing state-of-the-art technologies like Fluoride Ion Cleaning (FIC), ultrasonic inspection, stripping of coatings, high-speed grinding and balancing, laser welding, linear friction welding, high-temperature vacuum brazing, flame spraying and High Velocity Oxy Fuel (HVOF) spraying, vacuum plasma spraying, laser drilling, surface sealing and atmospheric plasma spraying and application of thermal barrier coating for HPT blades and HPT vanes.

With these advanced technologies MTU Maintenance is in a position to repair parts such as rotors, stators, blades, vanes, fan blades, shrouds, shafts, combustors, cases and gearboxes which otherwise would have to be replaced by expensive new parts. These repairs guarantee long engine on-wing times – an important contribution to environmental protection.

TOTAL ENGINE CARE FOR AERO ENGINES

The 'Total Engine Care' package comprises four elements: MRO, engine fleet management, engine condition monitoring and provisioning of spares.

ENGINE CONDITION MONITORING (REMOTE DIAGNOSTICS)

Engine health monitoring helps to foresee damage before it occurs. Early detection systems permit precise maintenance planning through continuous real-time monitoring of engine performance.

ENGINE LEASING (E.POOL SERVICES)

The team is responsible for a pool of dedicated spare engines of the most widely used types for lease to customers worldwide.

PRATT & WHITNEY CANADA CUSTOMER SERVICE CENTRE EUROPE (PWC CSC)
