With a record of almost 40 years of western aircraft operation, TAROM-Technical Division, based at Bucuresti-Otopeni International Airport, is the most experienced maintenance provider in Eastern Europe. TAROM-Technical Division is specialised in maintaining B737, ATR42 and A310 aircraft. The 800 highly experienced employees offer its customers the perfect combination between high quality products and very competitive prices. Our capability list includes:

  • Base and heavy maintenance for B737 (Classic and NG), ATR42, B707, BAC 1-11, including integral painting
  • Base maintenance for A310 (up to C check)
  • Line maintenance for B737 (Classic and NG), ATR42, A310, A319 / A320 / A321 (CFM engines)
  • Components maintenance for B737, ATR42, A310, B707 and BAC 1-11

BASE AND HEAVY MAINTENANCE

Base and heavy maintenance activity for B737, ATR42, A310 (up to C check), B707 and BAC 1-11 is performed in our 7,000m² fully equipped hangar. The considerable investments in maintenance and special equipment and our skilled personnel guarantee the quality of services and on-time delivery. Incorporation of airworthiness directives, service bulletins, modifications or integral painting can efficiently be performed during the ground time.

LINE MAINTENANCE

Line maintenance teams provide prompt and professional technical support in Bucharest for Air France, CSA, Swiss Air Lines Intl., LOT, Olympic, KLM and Lufthansa, offering reliable, cost-effective and high quality services for a large variety of aircraft: B737-300 / 400 / 500 / 600 / 700 / 800 / 900, A310, A319 / A320 / A321, ATR 42-300/500 and BAe 146 a/c.

COMPONENTS MAINTENANCE

Our capability list contains more than 2,000 components for B737, ATR42, A310, B707 and BAC 1-11 aircraft, including digital equipment that can be tested on our brand new CATS station from RADA.

ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT

Our engineers can provide customers technical products such as customised maintenance schedule, work-packages for heavy maintenance checks or engineering orders based on AD/SB-s for aircraft and components. Engine condition monitoring for PW4000 and CFM56-3 / CFM56-7 can be performed on request.

Safety, quality and customer focus are the main drivers of TAROM-Technical Division and, consequently, the services provided by the company respect every single one of these features and continuously endeavour to improve them. TAROM-Technical Division not only incorporates modern technology and management systems in the maintenance process, but it also has a large number of very well trained specialists with a long experience in aviation field. Our commitment is reflected in the technical dispatch reliability of our fleet that is constantly over 99%.

As a result of our achievements and our efforts we have been given the seal of approval as a JAR 145 maintenance organizations in December 2000 (approval no. AACR 001). In March 2003, Tarom - Technical Division became a FAA approved repair station for B737 classic and new generation aircraft (approval no. TRUY 368X). In November 2004, Tarom was certified as a Part 145 maintenance organisation, reference EASA.145.0285. Our company has become an international player for more than ten years, as our trained specialists have been contracted to other companies such as Lufthansa Technik, Shannon Aerospace, GAMCO, OMAN AIR and helped start companies like Ryanair and Lauda.
