Interior LED lighting

EMTEQ is a leader in LED lighting for the aviation industry. LED lighting is a high-quality alternative to incandescent or fluorescent lighting for many reasons: units are rugged, lightweight, and have lower heat emission and current draw.

Products are customizable for many applications and include ceiling and sidewall wash lighting, flexible accent lighting, dome and reading lights, and accessories for power and control.

Exterior LED lighting

EMTEQ designs NVG friendly LED exterior lights to meet RTCA-DO-160, MIL-STD-810, TSO/ETSO certification, and OEM specifications.

Systems include anti-collision, position/tail, wing-tip, and combination light assemblies. State-of-the-art optics and compact packaging allows for utilitarian designs that are easily customized.

Engineering and certification

EMTEQ specializes in comprehensive certification and engineering services for OEMs and aftermarket customers with avionics upgrades, mechanical and structural design, interior layout (LOPA), consultation, and installation/technical support. System experience includes navigation, communication, In-flight entertainment, surveillance, power supply/distribution, control systems and cabin/cockpit information systems.

EMTEQ’s staff includes FAA certified DERs, DMIRs and DARs, as well as mechanical, avionics and electrical engineers. Their expertise is supported by 100+ FAA STCs, many with EASA and other approvals. EMTEQ’s Canadian office, ACS-NAI, holds Transport Canada Design Approval Organization (DAO) and Transport Canada parts manufacturing approval.

Integrated installation kits

EMTEQ's expertise includes application engineered kits with laser marked harnessing, cables, and trays. Resale agreements with equipment OEMs allow EMTEQ to provide turnkey installation kits, including line replaceable units (LRUs).

RF coax, Ethernet and specialty cables

EMTEQ offers an extensive line of proprietary low-loss, lightweight aircraft-grade RF coaxial cables, databus, Ethernet, fiber-optic, high performance and composite cables, designed with ease of installation, maintenance and superior electrical performance in mind.

EMTEQ's cables exceed FAA and OEM requirements for flammability, smoke and toxic gas emissions. Capabilities include testing up to 40GHz, burn testing, and reporting.

Equipment mounting trays

EMTEQ offers a comprehensive line of ARINC 404/600 trays with designers to customize existing or develop non-standard configurations to meet RTCA-DO-160, military specifications and OEM requirements. Options include front hold-downs, rear guide pins, shock-vibration isolators and cooling fans. They also design and assemble box or pallet assemblies.

CMS and cabin components

EMTEQ supplies cabin components including AC outlets, inverters, switch panels, ELEMENTS certified seat heater, and the revolutionary cabin management system SkyPro™. Many products are customizable with plating/finishes, configurations, and passenger messaging.

Metal machining and forming

EMTEQ is skilled in manufacturing machined and formed parts for a variety of fixed and rotor wing aircraft. Fabricated parts include: trays; antenna doublers; support brackets and beam structures; custom formed sheet metal and extrusions components; and proprietary manufacturing kits.

Testing capabilities, quality assurance and support

Value-added services include comprehensive program management, design substantiation, qualification testing, reports and analysis. EMTEQ’s global offices meet EN/JSIQ/AS9100:2004, ISO9100:2000, or EN9100:2003 quality standards and are approved by numerous OEMs and integrators.

As an FAA/EASA approved repair station, EMTEQ can issue return-to-service tags and forms 8130-3 and 337 for ARINC 404/600 trays, cable assemblies and many of their lighting products.
