British Airways (BA) has taken delivery of its first Boeing 777-300 ER, the longest aircraft in its fleet.

The 297-seat aircraft is expected to cut the airline’s CO2 emissions.

It will be used for destinations such as Chicago, Dubai and Mumbai after it begins operations later in the year, according to The Telegraph.

BA plans to add two more Boeing 777-300 aircraft by the end of this year and three more by 2012.
