With testing systems, we can simulate all climates around the world under accelerated conditions. Whether you are carrying out temperature, climatic, vibration, emission, altitude, corrosion, dust or combined shock and vibration testing, including highly accelerated life testing / highly accelerated stress screening (HALT / HASS), even space simulation or OBIGGS testing, we have a suitable solution.
Our temperature-testing chambers range from 20l bench-top models to floor-standing chambers up to 2,200l in internal volume. They come with intuitive, easy-to-use controllers and eco-friendly refrigerants. Reach-in, walk-in and drive-in chambers and rooms are available with full temperature control between -70°C and 180°C. Ultra-low temperature, LN² chambers are also available. Most of our chambers meet strict military, electronics and aerospace test standards.
Environmental and climatic-testing chambers
As with our temperature-only chambers, the same range and sizes are available to include full climate control of temperature and relative humidity. Standard models of environmental-testing or climatic-test chambers include bench-top and floor-standing ranges, and similarly to temperature-testing chambers, include large customised walk-in or drive-in rooms.
Your products must be able to withstand a variety of temperatures during manufacturing, transport, storage and use. The Weiss climate-test chambers help you to test the influence of temperature and humidity on the properties, function and lifespan of your products.
Walk-in rooms are available in a standard size range and can also be designed for customised applications.
Ultra-low temperature test chambers
Due to the great importance of thermal stress caused by extreme temperatures at high altitude or in space, temperature tests on aerospace equipment are often carried out before the vacuum test.
Our liquid nitrogen cooling system enables the temperature to be precisely controlled in a broad range from -185°C to 200°C. Low-temperature cabinets from Weiss Technik achieve fast change in temperature and a high degree of homogeneity, both in small cabinets and large walk-in chambers.
Thermal-shock test chambers
Environmental conditions have a significant effect on the functionality and reliability of electronic components, devices and systems. In order to discover latent weaknesses in the shortest possible time, a typical temperature test is often insufficient. Test specimen must be subjected to multiple abrupt temperature changes.
With our temperature-shock test cabinet, extremely rapid temperature changes ranging from -80°C to 220°C can be implemented. This enables you to reduce the incidence of early failures and increase the reliability of your products.
Thermal and climatic altitude test chambers
Aircraft are subject to extreme pressure and climatic conditions during flights. These parameters have a significant influence on the function of individual components and they must be monitored and measured for safety reasons.
Weiss Technik test cabinets enable the testing of aerospace components in an environment with controlled pressure, temperature and humidity parameters. An altitude of 100,000ft can be simulated. If required, combined Cat B icing tests in accordance with the standards RTCA DO-160 and MIL-STD-810 can be carried out. Rapid decompression test can also be conducted.
Combined vibration and HALT / HASS test chambers
Components from aerospace industries are subject to intense vibrational forces during operation while also experiencing rapid temperature changes in different climates.
The combined vibration series of chambers from Weiss Technik will enable you to simulate such dynamic processes and the associated combined mechanical and thermal / climatic stresses that affect components and devices. Therefore, you can investigate the stress limits to ensure safe flying operations. Most Electro Dynamic shaker systems can be interfaced in either vertical or horizontal axis.
With HALT / HASS systems from Weiss Technik, you can introduce your samples to maximum exposure to stress. In addition to the multi-axis random vibration, a very high-temperature change rate is achieved, using liquid nitrogen, which enables product testing in extreme situations.
