Avionics firm Rockwell Collins has revealed ARINCDirect, a new suite of flight support services for business aviation.

The new offering is said to combine the company’s existing Ascend flight information solutions and ARINC Direct services to offer flight planning, regional and international trip support, cabin connectivity and flight operations management.

Rockwell Collins information management services senior vice-president Jeff Standerski said: "By combining the best of Ascend and ARINC Direct, business aviation operators can now experience the single most comprehensive portfolio of flight support solutions in the industry, along with the reliable performance, industry-leading technical expertise and outstanding customer service they expect, all from a brand they have come to know and trust."

With the new service, the company will be able to provide its customers with flight planning using online and mobile platforms, weather services as a well as a wide range of cabin connectivity options.

Rockwell Collins will showcase the ARINCDirect at the ongoing National Business Aviation Association Convention & Exhibition from 21 to 23 October.

Standerski said: "We’re looking at further integration of our ARINCDirect services with our cabin and flight deck offerings.

"With the new ARINCDirect, Rockwell Collins is uniquely positioned to provide our business aviation customers with services for the flight deck, cabin, back office and everywhere in between."

The company will also showcase the extensions of flight operating system, connectivity capabilities, and tankering and integrated weight and balance/performance features.
