Aviation services provider AAR has signed a deal with the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) Liebherr-Aerospace to supply landing gear maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services for Embraer 170/175/190/195 E-Jet aircraft.

Liebherr-Aerospace has developed and integrated the landing gear system installed on the E-Jet 170/175/190/195 series.

The latest contract will improve AAR’s landing gear service capabilities by allowing the company to acquire and maintain updated technical documentation on the aircraft.

With the improved access and ability to purchase related spare parts for E-Jet E1 series aircraft, AAR’s landing gear facility located in Miami will now be able to provide services to other operators that fly the aircraft.

AAR aircraft components and landing gear services vice-president Pastor Lopez said that the contract increases the company’s range of services.

"We are already seeing RFPs from E-Jet operators," Lopez said. "With more than 500 E-jets operating in the Americas and more than 900 worldwide, the agreement with Liebherr-Aerospace further positions AAR as a top global MRO."

The aircraft serve both mainline and regional airlines across the world.
