Nasa’s space shuttle Endeavour has returned to earth after its STS130 mission to the International Space Station (ISS).

During the 13-day mission the spacecraft carried 36,000lb of hardware including the Tranquility Node 3 and the cupola providing a 360° view through its seven windows.

The mission also included three space walks, totalling 18 hours and 14 minutes, to install the infrastructure that concluded major construction on the ISS.

Nasa will transport equipment and supplies to the station in the remaining four space shuttle missions, after which, the shuttles will be retired.
