US company Aerospace Products International (API) will provide all field supply chain services and logistics solutions for aviation company Cirrus Aircraft under a new contract.

The multi-year exclusive logistic services agreement will involve providing aircraft spare parts and related materials to support Cirrus’ SR-Series piston aircraft product line.

API will also manage procurement and parts inventory, predict spare parts demand and plan global inventory levels to make spare parts available across
Cirrus’ global network of authorised service centres.

API will also be in charge of customer returns, rotable exchanges, warranty claims and parts replacements for Cirrus Aircraft.

API president and chief operating officer Ahmed Metwalli said that the agreement between the firms will set a new standard for aftermarket product and sustainability in the aerospace industry.

“This agreement is a major milestone in the expansion of our long-term supply chain management programmes with leading aerospace OEMs worldwide,” Metwalli said.

API will supply these services under the Cirrus Parts by API brand.

Cirrus Aircraft is a personal aviation company that manufactures single-engine, piston powered aircraft for the US.

API is an aerospace parts distributor and logistics services provider with presence in the US, Canada, China, the Philippines and Europe.
