King Air 350_Pro Line Fusion

Rockwell Collins has unveiled the new version of its Pro Line Fusion avionics upgrade for Pro Line II-equipped King Air 350 aircraft.

The retrofit platform features 14in touchscreen flight displays, patented airport dome on the synthetic vision system (SVS), geo-referenced electronic navigation charts and pilot-configurable primary and multifunction display windows.

Other capabilities of the software include target runway highlighting on the SVS and directional highlight arrows on the airport diagram, graphical maps, and flight management system.

"It makes the most economic sense since it plugs right into Rockwell Collins systems already on-board the aircraft, including the autopilot and communication and navigation radios."

Rockwell Collins and Landmark Aviation’s Winston-Salem maintenance, repair and overhaul facility are working to secure a supplemental type certificate for Pro Line II-equipped King Air 350 aircraft’s Pro Line Fusion upgrade in the first half of 2015.

Rockwell Collins business and regional systems vice-president and general manager Craig Olson said: "Beyond the dramatic modernisation and enhanced situational awareness that our solution brings to the King Air 350 flight deck, it makes the most economic sense since it plugs right into Rockwell Collins systems already on-board the aircraft, including the autopilot and communication and navigation radios.

"It also increases aircraft resale value, and adds many years of life to the aircraft by replacing obsolete CRT displays."

Rockwell Collins’ Pro Line Fusion is designed for light jets, intercontinental business, air transport and military tanker special mission aircraft. It allows pilots to manage, monitor and master flight automation.

In a separate statement, Rockwell said it has delivered Pro Line Fusion flight test software for Embraer’s KC-390 aircraft.
