Yakutia Airlines will receive two Sukhoi Superjet 100/95 aircraft under a contract signed between Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company and the Government of Sakha.

The SSJ100/95 aircraft can fly to a range of 4,420nm at a cruise speed of Mach 0.78 carrying 98 passengers.

Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company president Vladimir Prisyazhnyuk said that with the Sukhoi Superjet 100 in Yakutia’s fleet, the airline will be able to solidify its positions in the market and operate commercially efficient aircraft.

“The SSJ100’s characteristics will bring Yakutia more success on its regional routes,” Prisyazhnyuk said.

Yakutia Airlines director general Ivan Prostit said that the jets will expand their route networks and make current flights more regular.

The first jet will be delivered in February 2011.
