Goodrich Corporation has completed all flight tests of the electric brake system for Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

The braking system includes DuraCarb carbon heat sink material, which provides improved brake performance and up to 35% better brake life.

The tests included extensive on-aircraft testing of wheels and electric brake hardware, as well as validation of the proprietary software incorporated in the electric brake actuator controllers.

The maximum brake energy test was completed at Edwards Air Force Base in California.

The 787 Dreamliner is a long-range, mid-size, wide-body, twin-engine jet airliner, which has a seating capacity of 210 to 330 passengers, depending on the variant.
