Pratt & Whitney has awarded a contract to Jonal Laboratories to provide non-metallic rubber-based elastomeric parts for its aircraft engines.

The elastomeric components will be designed for use in PurePower engines for Airbus A320neo aircraft, the F135 engines for F-35 aircraft, and Pratt & Whitney’s legacy engines.

"The contract to Jonal Laboratories will support Pratt & Whitney’s planned increase in production to more than double by 2020."
