UK-based engineering group Senior has acquired commercial aerospace parts-maker Weston for £54m.

Senior funded the transaction by utilising existing cash and debt facilities.

UK-based Weston has manufacturing facilities in Thailand and makes precision machined parts and assemblies for the commercial aerospace industry.

The company said its products are used in the engines and the aircraft structure of the Airbus A320 family, A330, A350 and A380 platforms.

Senior designs and manufactures technology components and systems for producers in aerospace, diesel engine and energy markets and specialises in aluminium and hard metal structural parts, as well as premium aircraft-seat structures.
