CAE has signed contracts worth around C$60m ($55.4m) at list prices, for the sale of four full-flight simulators (FFSs) to customers in Asia and Australasia.

The sale includes one Boeing 747-8 simulator to Air China and three ATR-600 simulators, one to Air New Zealand, one to Garuda and one to an undisclosed customer.

CAE training and services civil simulation products group president Nick Leontidis said: "CAE prides itself on offering the broadest range of solutions available, and platforms such as the ATR-600 and 747-8 are examples of our R&D investments being geared to our customers’ complete needs."

Air China will receive its order around October 2015 at its training centre in Beijing.

Air New Zealand’s ATR72-600 full-flight simulator, the CAE 7000 Series FFS, will be equipped with CAE Tropos 6000 XR visual system, and will be housed in the Air New Zealand Aviation Institutes Flight Simulation Centre in Auckland.

Garuda’s ATR 600 FFS will be delivered in the first half of 2015.
