Bombardier Commercial Aircraft has extended its authorised service facility (ASF) agreement with Slovenia-based company Adria Tehnika for another five years.

Under the deal, Adria Tehnika will act as an authorised service provider and other maintenance for all Bombardier CRJ series jets, including aircraft modifications and upgrades.

Adria Tehnika has so far performed heavy maintenance on more than 700 CRJ series aircraft.

Adria Tehnika chief executive officer Maks Pele said: "Our team at Adria Tehnika has been offering our customers in the region and as far as India and China on-time, cost-effective CRJ Series aircraft maintenance solutions and expertise for over 14 years."

Bombardier stated that its fleet in Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) is witnessing a gradual growth with over 225 Q series turboprops, 250 CRJ regional jets and 160 C series aircraft now in service with, or on firm order from around 60 customers and operators across the region.

The company’s customer services network in Europe and the CIS region comprises regional support offices in Munich, Germany, and Moscow, Russia, as well as a parts services hub in Frankfurt, Germany, and a component repair and overhaul (CR&O) facility in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Adria Tehnika currently operates authorised service facilities with Flybe in Exeter, UK; Lufthansa Cityline in Berlin, Germany; SAMCO in Maastricht, Netherlands, and Tulpar in Kazan, Russia.

In February, Bombardier Services and PSA Airlines signed a heavy maintenance agreement, extending the existing deal between the parties by two years.

Under the contract, all heavy maintenance works of PSA Airlines’ CRJ200, CRJ700 and CRJ900 fleet will be conducted at Bombardier’s West Virginia Air Centre in US.
