B/E Aerospace has been awarded a contract by AgustaWestland to provide aerospace fasteners and consumables, as well as logistical services for the helicopter maker’s global operations.

Initially valued at around $200m, the deal will run until December 2018.

Under the latest agreement, B/E Aerospace will supply AgustaWestland with aerospace fasteners and hardware, along with a variety of other consumables.

In addition, B/E will deliver logistical services, including point-of-use delivery, configured bin management, as well as kitting services.

B/E Aerospace chairman and chief executive officer Amin Khoury said: "This market share win highlights our continued focus on having the best and broadest portfolio of aerospace consumables and logistical services and further solidifies our position as the market leader."

B/E Aerospace is a manufacturer of aircraft cabin interior products and a distributor of aerospace fasteners and consumables.

The company designs, develops and manufactures a wide range of products for both commercial aircraft and business jets, incuding aircraft cabin seating, lighting systems, oxygen systems, food and beverage preparation and storage equipment, galley systems and modular lavatory systems.

Recently, B/E Aerospace anounced the extension of its agreement with United Technologies Corporation (UTC) to provide aerospace fasteners, hardware, consumables, and logistical services to the latter’s aerospace business units for its global operations.

The agreement with UTC runs through 31 December 2022, and is initially worth $950m.
