US-based AERIA Luxury Interiors has placed an order for CTT Cair system to be installed in a Boeing BBJ1 VIP aircraft.

The installation of the Cair system is scheduled to be carried out towards the end of this year and start of 2015.

AERIA Luxury Interiors programme manager Kory Fosheim said: "This is the first Cair system we have installed in a BBJ1 VIP aircraft. We are thoroughly convinced of the added value of the Cair system for AERIA Luxury Interiors customers."

In addition, it comprises Zonal Drying System to provide humidification of the extremely dry aircraft cabins without causing condensation.

According to CTT, Cair offers a relative humidity for passengers of around 20%, compared with 3%-5% without, for the passengers, reducing dry air related problems such as fatigue, jet-lag, red eyes, dry skin, spread of virus diseases.

CTT Systems sales and marketing vice-president Peter Landquist said: "This is the first order we have won from AERIA Luxury Interiors and we are delighted to work with them on this new aircraft and prestigious VIP project."
