Aviage Systems has selected Flextronics to manufacture integrated modular avionics (IMA) cabinet units to support commercial aircraft programmes in China.

Under the contract, Flextronics is providing supply chain solutions to Aviage Systems from its site in Suzhou, China.

The IMA Cabinet, a key subassembly, is part of the core avionics system of an aircraft, interconnecting flight controls with the jetliner’s other subsystems, and requires a wide range of components that include high-precision card cage, multiple backplanes and large cable assemblies.
