Dassault Systèmes has partnered with Assystem to develop an integrated cabin customisation and personalisation platform, to design and simulate future in-flight solutions.

The partnership will bring together Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE platform-based ‘Passenger Experience’ expertise and Assystem’s integration and engineering experience.

According to Dassault Systèmes, the solution will improve cabin quality by 80% and production efficiency by 30%, as well as reduce programme costs while improving on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.

"The ‘Passenger Experience’ solution incorporates 3D visualisation."

Assystem aerospace vice-president Jeff Hoyle said: "Our partnership with Dassault Systèmes and its ‘Passenger Experience’ industry solution experience combines decades of specialisation in the aviation industry and is a further demonstration of our desire to continue to offer innovative solutions to the market.

"Jointly we can help transform aircraft cabin design innovation into a manufacturable and certifiable product that will delight passengers."

The ‘Passenger Experience’ solution incorporates 3D visualisation, which boost turnaround on new design concepts.

With this solution, cabin completion engineers will be able to create various customisations in a passenger cabin; marketing teams can promote cabin configurations through 3D content, while cabin crew members can prepare for future passenger journeys.

Dassault Systèmes aerospace and defence industry vice president Michel Tellier said: "Companies in the aviation industry look for tools, services, content, best practices and return on experience to better differentiate from the competition, profitably.

"Partnering with a leading engineering company like Assystem enables us to offer an integrated approach that dramatically improves sales and margins to help customers reach their goals."
