CFM International has secured contracts worth $9.1bn from three Chinese airlines, including Spring Airline, Hainan Airlines and Xiamen Airlines, for the supply of 500 engines.

The company has also signed a $2.9bn rate per flight hour agreement with Spring Airlines to provide installation and support services required for the engines.

CFM will supply engines to Hanian Airlines’ fleet of Airbus A320neo aircraft under a  $4.2bn agreement.

Bombardier has agreed to sell six Q400 aircraft to Conair Group for a $206m purchase consideration.

The aircraft will be customised to accommodate a retardant delivery system of Conair, along with interiors to meet the passenger and cargo transport, as well as other special mission requirements.

GomSpace has reached an agreement with Virgin Orbit for the launch of nanosatellites into a low-inclination orbit.

The nanosatellites will be launched aboard LauncherOne rocket, which is set to fly in 2019.

GomSpace intends to use the nanosatellites to identify missing aircraft and ships.

Boeing and Adient has agreed to form a new joint venture (JV), Adient Aerospace, to offer seating products to airlines and aircraft leasing companies.

The JV will be headquartered in Kaiserslautern, Germany, while its first customer service centre will be based in Seattle, US.

The transaction will enable Boeing to offer better products with a higher lifecycle value.
