New Berlin, Wisconsin – Aircraft system integrator EMTEQ has been granted FAA STC (supplemental type certificate) ST03367AT for a Dual Artex C406-N Emergency Locator Transmitter (ELT) installation on McDonnell-Douglas KC-10 aircraft. In addition, EASA approval is pending on EMTEQ's A300 STC for Flight Recorder System Upgrade per FAR 121.344 / 129.20, as well as for ELS / EHS installations on Boeing 767-200 / 300 aircraft.

ELS / EHS is mandated in first in Germany, United Kingdom and France for civil aircraft having a maximum take-off mass greater than 5,700kg or a maximum cruising true airspeed in excess of 250kt. EMTEQ's ELS / EHS installation kit is a cost-effective, safe solution that also meets FAA standards.

Other McDonnell-Douglas model aircraft STCs cover the DC-6, DC-8, DC-9, DC-10, MD-11 and MD-80/90 series.
