PC-12

Swiss single-engine turboprop aircraft manufacturer Pilatus Aircraft has appointed Chile-based Aeroservicio as an authorised service centre for PC-12 airliners.

This development is part of Pilatus’ strategy to provide top quality maintenance from any location and increase its presence globally.

According to Pilatus Aircraft, Aeroservicio offers a convenient way for Pilatus operators to maintain their aircraft and is one of the three authorised centres in South America.

Pilatus Business Aircraft customer service vice-president Pete Wolak said: "Nearly 50 years of dedicated service in the region illustrates the success of Aeroservicio’s customer-focused business model, and excites us for an interconnected future."

Aeroservicio is a leader in the Chilean business aviation industry and operates Pilatus service facility at Aeródromo Eulogio Sánchez.

Powered by a Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-67P turboprop engine, the PC-12 aircraft features flight deck equipped with the Honeywell Primus Apex system.

The aircraft cabin can accommodate about six to nine passengers and is configured in VIP, business passenger and combined passenger / cargo configurations.

In May, the global fleet of nearly 1,200 Pilatus PC-12s accumulated 4,000,000 flight hours since the first aircraft was delivered in October 1994.

The highest time to date, the PC 12 logged more than 24,000 hours in operation as an air ambulance with Air Bravo in Ontario, Canada.

In April, Pilatus Aircraft appointed Tronrud Aviation as an official PC-12 Sales and Service Centre in the Nordic region of Europe for activities in Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland.
