Evergreen Unmanned Systems has employed the Elbit Systems Skylark I LE unmanned aerial vehicle to survey rural orphanages in Haiti searching for signs of life in the aftermath of the earthquake.

The 12.1lb UAV can be launched without a runway, search for survivors, document infrastructure damage and identify blocked roads.

The Skylark was flown from the mountains of Haiti at 5,200ft in the vicinity of Port-au-Prince.
