Rockwell Collins will provide avionics and pilot controls for the new MC-21 family of aircraft being developed by Russian-based Irkut Corporation.

MC-21 is a single-aisle aircraft family for short-medium range flights that will carry 150-210 passengers.

Rockwell will provide engineering support and a suite of complimentary avionics and pilot controls, including communication, navigation, surveillance systems and information management infrastructure.

The firm will also supply configuration tools, side-sticks controls, rudder / brake pedal system, flap / slat and speed-brake control lever modules and trim control panel.

The first of three aircraft variants will enter service in 2016.
