Kazakhastan’s Euro-Asia Air has received two AW139 medium helicopters from Augusta Westland.

The new-generation medium twin-turbine helicopter powered by PT6C-67C engines, can cover 675nm at 165kt with a maximum take-off weight of up to 6,800kg.

The AW139 is suited for the offshore role with its large cabin and baggage compartments allowing it to transport up to 15 passengers.

The helicopter can be easily and quickly converted into various configurations and features energy-absorbing landing gear, fuselage and seats.

The firm will use the offshore-configured AW139s to perform transport operations in Kazakhstan’s section of the Caspian Sea.

Euro-Asia Air, a state-owned company, has a branch network equipped with air-technical bases, hangars, spare parts storage and ground equipment.
