Nextant Aerospace has finished the necessary certifications to qualify for an supplemental type certificate (STC) for the Beechjet 400A/XP Rockwell Collins Pro Line 4 to Pro Line 21 flight deck upgrade.

The Pro Line 21 avionics upgrade, a major component of the 400NEXT programme, is expected to enhance safety as well as reduce maintenance and weight for the Beechjet 400A/XP.

The 400NEXT programme involves upgrading the Hawker Beechcraft 400XP/400A by replacing the existing Pratt & Whitney JT15D engines with the new modern Williams International FJ44-3AP computer-controlled engines along with the new Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 avionics.

The programme will allow 400NEXT to have a range of over 2,000nm, a rise from the existing 1,333nm, as well as a 30% cut in operating costs based on fuel savings alone.

The company will offer 400NEXT as a remanufactured serially produced aircraft as well as a modification retrofit programme.
