Embraer’s Phenom 300 jet will enter the market at the end of 2009 following the final certification phase.

The jet is part Embraer’s the Phenom jets family, and can fly six passengers 1,800nm, at a maximum cruise speed of 450ktas.

The jet’s test fleet, for its tests up to date, comprises five pre-series aircraft – two with full instrumentation, two with partial instrumentation and parts of the interior, and one wh complete interior for function and reliability tests.

In addition to the flight test campaign, ground-based structural tests are also underway. The ground tests included bird-strike tests, wing ultimate load tests and fatigue tests.

Function and reliability tests are being performed on the aircraft to evaluate such features as single-point refuelling and an externally serviced lavatory.

Embraer will showcase the Phenom 300 at the National Business Aviation Association 2009 (NBAA 2009) between 20 and 22 October 2009.
