Airbus has signed an agreement with Abu Dhabi Aircraft Technologies (ADAT) to add the service provider as a new member of its maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) network.

The Airbus MRO network is designed to offer a range of maintenance service providers for Airbus aircraft. Through the network, Airbus also integrates a broad range of tailored maintenance and engineering solutions called flight hour services.

The member providers are capable of offering maintenance services for the new Airbus craft, including the A380 and the A350 XWB aircraft.

Airbus services and customer support senior vice-president Bruce Jones said that the Middle East is an important region for Airbus. ADAT has a broad range of Airbus maintenance capabilities and is also equipped with a state-of-the-art A380 hangar.

“Their entry to the MRO Network will enhance the customers’ choice of maintenance services in the region,” he said.
