General Dynamics subsidiary Gulfstream and Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) have rolled out the G250, a mid-size airliner.

The G250 can travel 3,400nm at speeds of Mach 0.80 up to a maximum altitude of 45,000ft carrying four passengers and two crew members.

The aircraft features an new Gulfstream wing, signature Gulfstream T tail, Honeywell engines and the PlaneView 250 cockpit based on Rockwell Collins Pro Line Fusion avionics.

IAI and Gulfstream have collaborated on the manufacturing and design of the jet following a integrated-product-teams approach.

The aircraft, announced in October 2008, is on schedule for first flight later in 2009 and is expected to be certified in 2011.

The G250 is expected to enter into service in 2011.
