Arianespace’s sixth Ariane 5 launch vehicle of 2009 is ready for assembly.

The Ariane’s cryogenic core stage and upper stage have been brought to the Spaceport on MN Colibri in its roll-on / roll-off configuration, a seagoing vessel used to transport Arianespace launchers.

The rocket will be the 192nd Ariane family vehicle assembled at the Spaceport and sixth of the seven launches planned for 2009.

The fourth Ariane 5 recently took to space with two satellites, JCSAT-12 and Optus D3, while the fifth vehicle is also ready for assembly.
