A mock-up of the new tri-national advanced UAV system Talarion has been presented for the first time at the Paris Air Show.

Talarion will be developed and produced under the proposed tri-nation advanced UAV programme by EADS for France, Germany and Spain for intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition and reconnaissance (ISTAR) missions.

The twin-jet ISTAR solution with a unique modular sensor / payload concept will offer advanced control over missions and the data gathered from them.

France and Germany will receive six Talarion systems each and Spain will acquire three. One system consists of three Talarion units and a ground segment.

The systems will make their maiden flight in 2013 and delivery of the first series will begin in 2015.
