Airbus has announced at this year’s Paris Air Show that it will be sticking to its target for 300 gross aircraft orders this year.

The announcement came as Vietnam Airlines confirmed an order for 16 single-aisle A321 aircraft in a deal worth $1.4bn.

The airline also signed a memorandum of understanding for two additional wide-body A350-900s worth $480m, bringing the total value of the deal to around $1.9bn.

Vietnam Airlines, has already taken delivery of 14 A321 aircraft. This new order will take the airline’s A321 total to 41 aircraft.
