US-based autonomous aircrafts manufacturer Insitu has opened anffice in Queensland, Australia, to serve the Asia Pacific region.

The office will perform a broad range of activities including unmanned aircraft system (UAS) intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) services.

The ISR services will include sales, training services, payload modification and production.

The office has already started local payload development and modification activities based on more than 20,000 flight hours of the UAS ScanEagle with the Australian Defence Force.
