Shell Aviation has entered a long-term strategic collaboration with SkyNRG to promote and develop the use of sustainable fuel in aviation supply chains.

The partnership involves the integration of Shell Aviation’s technical and commercial expertise and supply chain and carbon management operations with SkyNRG’s capability in the supply of sustainable aviation fuels and relevant knowledge.

The partners will also work together to develop long-term opportunities for low carbon solutions.

A joint business development fund will provide funding for these efforts, and various comprehensive carbon management options will support the Shell Aviation and SkyNRG customers.

Shell Aviation primarily supplies aviation fuels and lubricants.The company supplies fuel to around 850 airports in 32 countries, refuelling an aircraft every 14 seconds on average.

SkyNRG was established by KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and Spring Associates in 2010 to provide sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) to airlines.
