Aircraft technical consulting and advisory services provider SGI Aviation Services has signed a cooperation agreement with Netherlands-based Regional Jet Center (RJC).

The agreement will see the parties collaborate to conduct engine lease redelivery checks and on-wing maintenance events. They will also provide documentation review, maintenance and storage to engine lessors.

SGI Aviation will be responsible for conducting the review while RJC will perform the remaining activities.

SGI CEO Paolo Lironi said: “This is a major milestone for SGI Aviation’s strategy of providing a more extensive list of services.

“SGI Aviation will be able to offer a one-stop-shop to existing engine lessor customers. This is really needed in the engine leasing industry. Last but not least, our customers also can benefit from SGI Aviation’s Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization (CAMO) services.”

RJC is an aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul company. It is approved by both the European Union Aviation Safety Agency and the US Federal Aviation Administration.

Located at Schiphol Airport, it has decades of experience working for commercial airlines in Europe offering a range of services, including engineering, planning and operations.

RJC managing director Michiel van der Eijk said: “We are excited to team up with SGI Aviation in offering a one-stop-shop solution for engine lease return checks. We believe this provides a service filling a void in the engine leasing industry.”

Last month, SGI Aviation reached a partnership with Switzerland-based DasAero SAGL to add CAMO support services and strengthen its capabilities.
