US-based Precision Aviation Group (PAG) has expanded its aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility in Brisbane, Australia, doubling the size of the facility from 10,000ft² to 20,000ft².

The newly completed expansion will accommodate the PAG’s wheel and brake, starter generator and accessory MRO services.

Precision Aviation Group Australia operations director Chris Slade said: “The expansion includes installation of a larger paint booth, an NDT area, product specific work cells, upgrading of the inspection and test rooms within the existing repair station and expansion of the spare parts inventory warehouse.

“This expansion will allow us to accommodate future growth and better serve our customers, which supports PAG’s strategic global plan.”

PAG’s Brisbane facility services more than 50,000 parts annually, and was approved by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), the US Federation Aviation Administration (FAA), Transport Canada and other authorities.

Precision Aviation Group president and CEO David Mast said: "Our facility in Brisbane, Australia is strategically important, both in support of the Australian and New Zealand markets in addition to the wider Asian market.

“This investment is in response to an increase in demand for local MRO Services; by creating greater capacity within the repair station, we have combined expansion and efficiency at the facility, both of which will benefit our customers.”

The company currently has presence in ten locations and more than 250,000ft² of sales and service facilities in the US, Canada, Australia and Brazil.
