TransDigm Group Incorporated has signed a deal to purchase US-based Young & Franklin Inc for $260m.

The transaction will help expand TransDigm’s product offerings. It also includes the acquisition of Young & Franklin’s divisions, including Tactair Fluid Controls Inc.  

Headquartered in Ohio, US, TransDigm produces aircraft components for military and commercial aircraft.

General Electric has announced its plans to buy Sweden-based Arcam AB and Germany-based SLM Solutions Group for approximately $1.4bn.

Arcam provides metal additive manufacturing technologies for aerospace and healthcare markets, while SLM Solutions develops 3D printing systems for aerospace and other industries.

The deal would enable GE to strengthen its services for aerospace and industrial markets.
