The finance leasing unit of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China has ordered 45 C919 jets from China-based aircraft maker Commercial Aircraft Corp of China.

The planes have been ordered for an undisclosed sum, bringing total C919 jet orders to 145.

The single-aisle jet will compete with Boeing’s 737 and the Airbus A320 when it enters service in the latter part of this decade.

The leasing company currently operates 70 large aircraft, which it offers to carriers from China and abroad.

The C919 jets could be delivered as early as 2016, according to the Wall Street Journal.
