Triumph Group will supply composite detail and assembly parts for the 787 Dreamliner manufactured by Boeing, as part of a contract awarded by the latter.

Deliveries under the contract will be made for the aircraft’s section 47/48 fuselage assembled in Charleston, South Carolina, US, for integration into the aft body areas of the aircraft.

Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to develop lithium ion batteries for electric vehicles.

The agreement includes a commitment by ISRO to buy back the batteries.

ISRO will provide support for scaling up production, as well as be involved in the research and development of the batteries, while BHEL will establish a battery production plant as part of the MoU.

Boeing has secured an order from Azerbaijan-based airline Silk Way for ten 737 Max 8 aircraft.

The $1.1bn order brings the total orders for 737 Max family aircraft to more than 3,700.
