Vietnam-based airline Vietjet is to expand its domestic and regional network after ordering 20 new A321 single-aisle aircraft from Airbus.  

In addition, Airbus has agreed to provide training to Vietjet’s aircrew and maintenance personnel at its facility in Ho Chi Minh City.

Boeing Commercial Airplanes has selected GKN Aerospace to manufacture components and sub-assemblies for 777X, 767, 777 and 787 Dreamliner aircraft.

The titanium and aluminium machined components for the aircraft will be manufactured at GKN Aerospace’s plants in Amityville, New York and in St Louis, Missouri, as part of the contract.

"The new aircraft will allow the airline to expand its services to international air routes."

Finnair has awarded in-flight Wi-Fi services contract to ViaSat Inc, a US-based communications solutions provider.

ViaSat will supply high-speed wireless internet solutions for installation on-board Finnair’s Airbus A320 fleet operating in Europe until June 2018. 

Airbus has secured a contract from Jetstar Pacific Airlines for the supply of ten A320ceo aircraft. The airline currently operates 12 leased A320 Family aircraft on domestic and regional routes.

The new aircraft will allow the airline to expand its services to international air routes.

Vietnam Airlines has placed an order with Airbus for ten additional A350-900 aircraft, which will allow for non-stop flights from Vietnam to the US West Coast.

The carrier currently operates four A350 XWB aircraft, which are capable of accommodating 305 passengers in a three-class seating layout.
