Global 6000

Bombardier Aerospace has secured a firm order for eight Global business aircraft, worth $537m, from an undisclosed customer.

The order includes three Global 6000, two Global 7000 and three Global 8000 jets.

Bombardier Aerospace Business Aircraft president Éric Martel said that the company is confident that the Global aircraft product line’s strong momentum will continue in 2014.

Bombardier’s Global 6000 aircraft has large cabin size, and is equipped with an optional stand-up shower and the Bombardier Vision Flight Deck to provide high-speed, range capability and traveller comfort.

Global 7000 aircraft features a spacious four-zone cabin, and a volume of 2,637ft³, offering passengers with 20% more living space, compared with the cabin of the Global 6000 aircraft.

Scheduled to enter service in 2017, the Bombardier Global 8000 aircraft will have a range of 7,900nm.

Recently, Bombardier Aerospace announced that it delivered 238 jets, including 180 business aircraft, 55 commercial aircraft, and three amphibious aircraft during 2013, compared with 233 aircraft in the previous calendar year that ended on 31 December 2012.

The company received orders for 388 aircraft, net of cancellations, last year, compared with 481 orders, net of cancellations, for the previous year.
