Asiana

South Korean carrier Asiana Airlines has selected Airbus’s Flight Hour Services (FHS) to offer components support for its A380 aircraft fleet.

The latest FHS agreement between Asiana and Airbus will run for ten years, and offers an extensive scope of A380 line replaceable units (LRUs).

It will also provide guaranteed spare parts availability through pool access service and on-site stock at customer main base and selected outstations, as well as repair to Asiana Airlines.

"The airline already has firm orders for six A380 aircraft, and will operate the jets on its primary routes from Seoul to the US."

Asiana Airlines purchasing and legal affairs SVP Yong Wook Lee said: "This long-term commitment for Airbus to support our aircraft recognises our confidence in Airbus to deliver the best possible service to Asiana customers for our forthcoming A380 flagship’s operations around the world."

Airbus Customer Services SVP Didier Lux added: "More than ever, our customers are expecting from us innovative and flexible solutions to enable safe, efficient and profitable operations."

Asiana Airlines will become A380’s 12th operator once it receives its first aircraft in the second quarter of this year.
