Airphil Express has received a new Airbus A320 aircraft from GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS), the commercial aircraft leasing and financing arm of GE, to expand its fleet.

The technologies incorporated in A320 aircraft include extensive use of weight-saving composites and an optimised wing that is 20% more efficient compared with previous designs.

The aircraft also incorporates a centralised fault display for easier troubleshooting and lower maintenance costs, along with fly-by-wire flight controls that provide total flight envelope and airframe structural protection for improved safety.

The A320 comes with the new Sharklet large wing-tip devices, which are designed to enhance the eco-efficiency and payload-range performance of the A320 Family.

Airphil Express operates a fleet of 16 aircraft to 29 destinations.
