Liberty Hall Capital Partners has purchased AeroCision, which provides complex engine components and assemblies for the global aerospace industry, for an undisclosed sum.

AeroCision will be integrated into Bromford Industries, which was bought by Liberty Hall in 2016 as part of the company’s strategy to build a diversified engine component supplier to the global aerospace and power generation industries.

Bromford currently provides complex, close tolerance engine components, fabrications, and assemblies for these industries.

Liberty Hall Capital Partners founding partner Rowan Taylor said: “As the industry continues to see dramatic growth in the delivery of next-generation, fuel-efficient engines, we believe the acquisition of AeroCision is highly strategic to Bromford and fully supports our vision of building a fully-integrated, diversified engine component supplier.

“We believe the acquisition of AeroCision is highly strategic to Bromford and fully supports our vision of building a fully-integrated, diversified engine component supplier.”

“AeroCision provides Bromford with additional machining capabilities, extends Bromford’s geographic presence into the US and India, and increases Bromford’s content on our targeted next-generation engine platforms.”

AeroCision was established in 1958. The company primarily provides components for major aerospace engine platforms, including the Trent 1000 TEN, Trent XWB (A350), Trent 7000, LEAP and GE9X.

With a single facility in Chester, Connecticut, US, and a joint venture in Bangalore, India, the company currently serves a range of businesses, including Rolls-Royce, GE Aviation and Honeywell.

Bromford CEO Gary Lowe said: “The acquisition of AeroCision not only reinforces Bromford’s existing strategic relationship with Rolls-Royce, with whom we entered into a strategic partnership in 2017, but also enhances our existing strategic relationship with Safran.”

Citizens Bank provided financing for the acquisition.

In June last year, Liberty Hall acquired Dunlop Aircraft Tyres for $135m. The company is a global designer, manufacturer and re-treader of aircraft tires.
