EmbraerX has released its first electrical vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft concept at Uber Elevate 2018 in Los Angeles, California, US.

The concept involves an aircraft that will serve passengers in an urban environment.

Developed in collaboration with Uber and other companies to explore business opportunities within the Uber Elevate ecosystem, the new eVTOL concept is expected to provide a safe and affordable passenger experience.

The concept also aims to offer a low footprint in terms of noise and emissions.

Embraer X further noted that its new eVTOL concept is a result of extensive interaction with potential urban air travellers about their expected experience and other collaborations.

The company is a part of Brazilian plane manufacturer Embraer.

Embraer has so far designed, developed and certified nearly 50 aircraft models. The company has delivered more than 8,000 aircraft to customers in 100 countries over the last five decades.
