Embraer Services & Support and Poland’s LOT Polish Airlines have signed a deal to extend their existing pool agreement to support the airline’s fleet of 34 Embraer E-Jets.

Under the multi-year deal, Embraer will provide component support solutions, including exclusive on-site stock, for LOT, in addition to extended scope of engine line-replaceable units (LRUs) for the carrier’s E190/E195 aircraft.

The extension will cover LOT’s existing fleet of 18 jets, and up to 16 Embraer E170/E175 and E190/E195 jets.

The E190/E195 fleet is made up of six additional Embraer E195 jets that were leased to LOT this year from Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC), and four new Embraer E190 that are set to enter service in January next year.

“LOT is the only airline to operate all four variants of E1 E-Jets in their fleet and we are humbled that they have chosen to place their trust in us.”

Embraer Services & Support president and CEO Johann Bordais said: “LOT is the only airline to operate all four variants of E1 E-Jets in their fleet and we are humbled that they have chosen to place their trust in us.”

Embraer’s component solution programme is designed to provide various services to support the fleet of Embraer aircraft flying worldwide.

It offers services through the company’s new TechCare platform, which combines the entire portfolio of Embraer products and solutions to deliver enhanced services and support.

In July, Embraer signed a multi-year comprehensive spare parts support agreement with Kenya Airways.

Part of Embraer Collaborative Inventory Planning (ECIP) programme, the agreement allows Embraer to take over the planning and replacement of spare parts stock for Kenya Airways’ 15 Embraer E190 aircraft.
