ExPace Technology, a holding unit of China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation, has raised $180m through a Series A funding round.

The proceeds are intended to be used for the development of space launch vehicles, enhance assembly techniques and invest in commercialisation of developed products.

Based in China, ExPace is a commercial space launch company.

Parker-Hannifin Corporation has revealed plans to offload its global Facet filtration business.

The transaction will see disposal of businesses such as aviation ground fuel filtration, filtration products and technology from Parker-Hannifin’s portfolio, while the aviation ground fuel filtration and the remaining CLARCOR businesses will be retained.

Based in the US, Parker-Hannifin manufactures motion and control technology systems for the mobile, industrial and aerospace markets.

Maxar Technologies has inked four major contracts with Canadian Space Agency (CSA) to facilitate the development of robotic vehicles for space exploration.

The combined value of the contracts is C$53.75m ($41.7m).

Maxar will finance the continuous robotic operations of Mobile Servicing System (MSS) in the International Space Station (ISS), under the contract.

It will work towards the development of a technology to automate control the equipment used for space exploration. It will develop two different types of rovers to carry out space exploration on Mars.
