Low-cost Irish airline Ryanair has placed an order with Boeing for 25 737 MAX 8 Gamechanger aircraft.

Gamechanger aircraft are equipped with highly advanced engines, which consume less fuel.

The order increases the overall amount of 737 MAX aircraft in Ryanair’s fleet to 135. The first aircraft under the order is scheduled to be delivered in Spring 2019.

BBA Aviation intends to raise $500m gross proceeds through the debt offering of senior unsecured notes through its wholly-owned subsidiary.

Due 2026, the notes are expected to yield an interest of 5.375% a year.

To be positioned at 110º east geostationary orbit, the satellite will offer direct-to-home services across the country for 15 years.

The satellite is mainly intended to provide 4K / 8K ultra-high definition videos of the Olympic Games, which are scheduled to take place in Tokyo in 2020.

Philippine Airlines (PAL) has signed a flight hour services (FHS) component maintenance contract with Airbus for its A350-900 fleet of six aircraft.

Handling services, repair, and transportation of aircraft components are included in the contract. FHS pools of Airbus in Hong Kong will assist PAL.

The contract will assist the airliner in enhancing operations by reducing delays and make troubleshooting easier.
