Bombardier Commercial Aircraft has received a $2.9bn order from Latvian low-cost carrier airBaltic for the delivery of 30 CS30 aircraft.

The agreement provides flexible options and purchase rights for 30 more CS30 aircraft, which, if executed, will increase the total order value to approximately $5.9bn.

The deliveries are expected to start in the second half of next year.

KLX intends to secure $1.2bn through a debt offering of senior notes.

Due 2022, the senior notes will yield an annual interest rate of 5.875%.

Based in the US, KLX offers consumables, logistic services and aerospace fasteners.

Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) has teamed up with Honeywell International to facilitate the introduction of a turnkey GPS anti-jam navigation system to the airborne avionics market.

The system will be integrated into Honeywell’s embedded GPS/inertial navigation system (EGI), as part of the teaming agreement.

“The satellites will be equipped with two passive hydrogen masers and two Rubidium atomic clocks, as part of the €26m ($30.5m) contract.”

Boeing has secured a contract from Etihad Airways to provide crew management solutions to support the airline’s 7,500 crew members.

Etihad Airways will utilise fatigue risk management solutions, crew pairing, and rostering solutions of Boeing to enhance crew satisfaction, reduce expenses and maximise planning.

Powered by Boeing AnalytX, the solutions will be provided by Boeing subsidiary Jeppesen.

Orolia has been selected to supply atomic clocks for 12 satellites in the Galileo Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS).

The satellites will be equipped with two passive hydrogen masers and two Rubidium atomic clocks, as part of the €26m ($30.5m) contract.

The scope of the contract further includes the supply of Spectratime Rubidium Atomic Frequency Standard and its Passive Hydrogen Masers physics package for 12 more Galileo satellites.

The Galileo GNSS will include 24 operational satellites and six in-orbit spares, as well as act as an independent positioning, navigation and timing (PNT) source to Europe.

Embraer has placed a contract with Viasat to receive Ka-band in-flight connectivity solution for Legacy 450 and Legacy 500 family aircraft.

The Viasat Global Aero Terminal 5510 Satcom solution will be deployed on both the Legacy 450 and Legacy 500 aircraft, under the contract.
